Burn Down the Night (Maxus 1992)

     Dopo il mini-album del '90, Bill Champlin torna a pubblicare un intero disco di nuove composizioni, ma il discorso a livello musicale non cambia, rimanendo sempre ancorato a una musica commerciale che denota una notevole pochezza di idee. Sono pochissimi gli episodi che ci ricordano la vecchia classe dell'artista come la ritmata e quasi soul "Highest stakes" la morbida "The thunder" e la notevole "For less than song", forse il pezzo migliore dell'album. Gli altri brani, invece, si perdono spesso tra tastiere elettroniche abbastanza invadenti e qualche schitarrata di troppo, forse alla ricerca di certo successo radiofonico.
