Olè (Snakecharmer 1981)

     Sconosciuta band di Philadelphia che propone, nell'unico lavoro pubblicato, una buona miscela di pop e funky-soul con qualche spruzzata di jazz e ritmi caraibici. Il sassofonista Scott Schotter ed il chitarrista Ron Smith scrivono tutti i brani che si alternano tra ballate come "Mystery" e "Ethereal love affair", pezzi più ritmati come "Nights like this" e "To get the feeling" ed il bel medio tempo di "Casual flirtation". Buone le armonie vocali proposte da tutti i membri della band, piacevoli gli arrangiamenti e godibile la presenza di una bella sezione fiati. Nel complesso un Interessante lavoro di west coast music nato sulla costa est.
