Faragher Bros. (ABC 1976)

     Gran bel disco l'esordio dei fratelli Faragher per la ABC Records. Quattro bianchi che cantano come dei neri e propongono un ottimo pop-soul, raffinato e di squisita fattura, che sembra uscito dai un disco degli Spinners o dei Tavares. I brani, tutti straordinari, portano la firma degli stessi artisti, ad eccezione della cover di "It's all right" di Curtis Mayfield, e si alternano piacevolmente tra sofisticate ballate e sincopati medio tempo, arricchiti da una fenomenale sezione fiati. Segnalare i pezzi migliori é molto difficile ma ci si potrebbe sbilanciare verso "You touched me" e "Never felt love before", due composizioni costruite con un gusto tale da mettere i brividi, in cui le straordinarie voci dei Faragher creano degli intrecci vocali di una perfezione assoluta.
