Alfalpha (EMI 1977)

     Band inglese composta dai due fratelli Harley e dal cantante e chitarrista Nick Laird-Clowes. Il trio è responsabile di un solo album che esce nel 1977 per la EMI e propone una raffinata miscela di soft-rock, folk e country in chiave acustica, dalle influenze americane ma con legami con il pop inglese. I brani, tutti degli originali ad esclusione della bella "If I Can Just Get Through Tonight" scritta da Pete Andreoli (in arte Peter Anders) e già sentita l'anno precedente dalla voce di Dion, sono cantati a tre voci e ricchi di interessanti armonie vocali che potrebbero ricordare il sound degli America o di Crosby, Stills & Nash.
