Volunteers

     Wayne Berry e George Clinton sono i leaders dei Timber, gruppo che pubblica all'inizio degli anni '70 due buoni album che si muovono tra folk-rock e country-rock. Scioltosi la band, Berry incide due lavori come solista che escono nel 1974 e 1975. Nel 1976 i due artisti tornano a lavorare insieme dando vita ai Volunteers, gruppo che pubblica un discreto disco omonimo. Il country-rock presente nei dischi dei Timber e di Berry si è ormai sbiadito ed il sound, in più di un brano, si orienta verso un pop-rock di maniera senza grande consistenza. L'album comunque scorre bene e si lascia ascoltare ma non contiene nessun pezzo particolare da ricordare.
